Pheasant Hunting
Pheasant can be a difficult bird to hunt in the wild. They tend to run rather than fly, which makes it difficult to find and shoot wild birds. Our birds are pen raised but fly exceptionally well. We set up the birds so that it will be an exciting hunt throughout the trip. There usually are two sessions in a hunt, each of which will have equal birds released. We take a short break for a snack and a drink to rest and release the second group of birds. Clients who have trouble walking are taken care of by riding around on our trailer until the dogs go on point. Then you will only have to walk a few steps to be in gun range. Our recovery rate of the released birds is excellent (over 80%). Save yourself the long walks without any results and come join McVey outfitters for a great pheasant hunt, whether as a family or a group of friends.
